In a recent interview on "The Joe Pags Show," Arizona House candidate Abe Hamadeh (AZ-08) shared his perspectives on pressing issues, including the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump and the ongoing border crisis. With the primary set for July 30th, Hamadeh outlined his concerns about both the Secret Service and border security.
Hamadeh began by discussing the recent announcement of J.D. Vance as Trump's VP pick. He expressed his support for Trump's endorsement but mentioned that, ultimately, the VP choice might not significantly impact voter decisions. Hamadeh also addressed his opponent Blake Masters, who entered the race after Hamadeh's announcement and is trying to claim Trump’s endorsement, which Hamadeh has already secured.
When discussing the need to cool down the political climate, Hamadeh blamed the media and the left for relentlessly targeting Trump. As a former intelligence officer, he expressed horror at how a young individual could get so close to assassinating Trump, highlighting severe failures in the Secret Service.
Turning to the border crisis, Hamadeh criticized the Biden administration and the Arizona government for their handling of the situation. He pointed to their policies as contributing factors to the worsening conditions at the border. Additionally, Hamadeh mentioned the extension of voting in Arizona to 28 days, suggesting that such changes could have significant implications for the state's electoral process.
