President Biden is taking a victory lap after Democrats performed better than expected in this week's midterm elections.
While speaking at a DNC event, Biden and Vice President Harris thanked staffers and volunteers as the full results of the midterms continue to unfold.
Biden called Tuesday night a good day for democracy and a "strong night" for Democrats. He said Democrats saw "extraordinary results," as more independent voters voted for Democrats than Republicans and young people voted in record numbers.
The President said he's willing to work with Republicans who are likely to gain control of the House, but warned he'll veto any legislation to ban abortion.
He said the midterms show women made their voices heard on the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade earlier this year.
