The newest Supreme Court Justice has published her first written opinion since joining the nation's highest court.
Justice Kentanji Brown Jackson wrote a short dissent after the Court declined to take up an appeal by Davel Chinn, a death row inmate from Ohio.
Jackson says she would have supported Chinn's claim that the state suppressed evidence that could have changed the outcome of his trial.
Justice Sonia Sotomayor joined Jackson's dissent, the only other member of the Court to do so.
