A legal victory is being handed to a California baker who refused to create a same sex wedding cake.
Fox News reports a judge ruled in favor of Cathy Miller of Tastries bakery in Bakersfield. Miller denied to make a cake for a lesbian couple, citing her Christian beliefs.
The ruling was reportedly based on the First Amendment.
The lawsuit was filed by the state's Department of Fair Housing and Employment. The case claimed Miller violated a California civil rights law protecting consumers from being discriminated against based on things like race, gender, sexual orientation or religion.
