The Biden administration is reinforcing its ironclad support for Japan following North Korea's missile test over the country.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the U.S. is working with South Korean and Japanese counterparts to coordinate immediate and long-term responses.
She said America's goal is "complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula." Jean-Pierre added that North Korea's refusal to respond to Washington's outreach is disappointing, but emphasized the U.S. continues to be committed to its allies.
