The losses caused by Hurricane Ian could end up totaling somewhere between $100 billion and $120 billion.
That's the word from AccuWeather CEO Dr. Joel Myers, who says he expects Ian to become one of the costliest weather events in U.S. history.
Ian arrived in Florida on Wednesday with 155 MPH winds, downing trees, snapping power poles, flooding streets and knocking out power to more than 2 million people.
The hurricane is now headed for South Carolina.
