A top Biden Administration official is on board with a review of documents seized from former President Trump's south Florida home.
John Kirby called it "appropriate."
His remarks come after Director of National Intelligence Avril Hines notified Congress that agencies are working together to review classified material recovered from Mar-a-Lago.
House Intelligence Committee chair Adam Schiff is among the lawmakers who had requested the assessment.
The California Democrat said he's pleased the government is assessing the potential damage done to national security by the improper storage of documents at Trump's estate.
