Twitter's former security chief claims the social media company has major security shortcomings that threaten privacy on the platform, and national security.

Peiter Zatko has filed a whistleblower complaint which reportedly argues that Twitter has made false claims about its security setup, violating a settlement with the FTC.
Zatko also says the company's leadership misled both the government and its own board about the security problems. CNN reports some of the security issues allegedly leave Twitter vulnerable to disinformation, hacking, and foreign spying.
