Republicans are saying Dr. Anthony Fauci may not be done with Washington even though he's leaving multiple positions later this year.
He announced he's stepping down as Chief Medical Advisor to President Biden, in addition to other roles.
On Twitter, Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs called Dr. Fauci a "coward" for leaving just before Republicans can pursue accountability. Biggs also promised he'll be held to account "whether or not he remains in public office."
Missouri Republican Eric Schmitt is the GOP nominee for U.S. Senate in the Show Me State and he tweeted a warning to Fauci. It said "Clear your 2023 calendar for Senate hearings that will focus on your lies [and] deceit that destroyed lives [and] livelihoods."
