The World Health Organization's director-general says the world shouldn't act like the COVID-19 pandemic is over.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said coronavirus is still "running freely" and some countries aren't "effectively managing the disease burden."
He asked governments to reverse reductions made recently regarding testing and virus sequencing.
Tedros added "new waves of the virus demonstrate again that the COVID-19 pandemic is nowhere near over."
