More than a million people crossing the U.S.-Mexico border have been arrested since October, the fastest pace in 20 years.
Data released Monday by Customs and Border Protection revealed nearly 210,000 arrests in March alone. Around 11,400 migrants were allowed into the U.S. to seek humanitarian protection.
Authorities say they have seen a spike in the number of Cubans and Ukrainians attempting to cross.
