Starting today, New Yorkers will need proof they've been vaccinated against the coronavirus to dine indoors, go to the gym, or take in a show at any indoor venue.
The vaccine mandate is part of Mayor Bill de Blasio's "Key to NYC" plan.
More than half of New Yorkers across the city's five boroughs are fully vaccinated, but many aren't happy with the new mandate.
There was an anti-mandate protest outside the mayor's official residence on Sunday afternoon.
Republican Mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa and Andrew Giuliani, who's running for governor, say the mandate will hurt businesses that are still trying to recover from the pandemic.
