Several states are reinstating mask mandates as the COVID-19 Delta variant surges across the U.S.
The CDC has called for Americans to wear masks in public indoor settings in areas with high transmission levels, and for public schools to require masks.
So far, at least four states and Puerto Rico have issued mask mandates.
Hawaii, Louisiana, Nevada and Oregon are all requiring public indoor masking for both the vaccinated and the unvaccinated.
Most states are urging residents to follow CDC guidelines, while some states with Republican governors have come out against mask mandates.
