The Senate is inching closer to final passage of the big infrastructure bill.
The bipartisan measure covers roughly one-trillion dollars in spending for long-overdue infrastructure upgrades.
A long shopping list includes highways, bridges, public transit, ports, airports, water systems and broadband access.
The Senate may spend more time today voting on amendments to the massive legislation. Senators are anxious to finish work and start their annual August recess.
The bill will go to the House once it clears the Senate.
