Impeachment proceedings against New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo could be moving forward soon.
On Friday, state lawmakers informed Cuomo's attorneys that the judiciary committee's impeachment inquiry was "nearing completion", and that articles of impeachment could be presented as early as next week.
Once those articles are presented, the process would be similar to a presidential impeachment -with the State Assembly voting to impeach followed by an impeachment trial in the State Senate.
An investigation released earlier this week found Cuomo had sexually harassed multiple women, most of whom worked in his office. Fellow Democrats - including President Biden - have called on Cuomo to resign.
