The Pentagon says troops will be deployed along the U.S.-Mexico border for a fourth year.
The chief Pentagon spokesman said yesterday as many as three-thousand troops will be there until late September 2022.
Former President Trump first ordered troops to the southern border in 2018 and about 3800 troops are currently deployed to support U.S. Customs and Border agents.
The Pentagon says new deployments will primarily National Guard troops working under the U.S. Northern Command.
