The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to take up a case that seeks to reinstate a Virginia school's transgender bathroom ban.
The case involves former student Gavin Grimm, a transgender man who was banned from using the boys' bathroom at his school. A lower court ruling found the ban unconstitutional and the Court's decision will keep that ruling in place.
Two justices - Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito - disagreed with the Court's ruling and said they would have taken up the case.
