President Biden is hailing a bipartisan agreement on infrastructure. He said five Democratic and five Republican Senators worked with the White House to reach the deal Biden says will create millions of American jobs. The President said the package means lead pipes delivering water will be replaced, and work will be done on roads, bridges, universal broadband, and much more. He added the deal does not raise taxes on Americans making less than $400,000. The Senators who worked on deal said they have framework of an agreement worth around one-point-two trillion dollars of spending over several years.
Biden said he's glad he did not follow the advice of some Democrats who urged him to "Go big and go it alone" and reached out across the isle to Republicans. He added this completes one-half of his economic plan, the other being investing in American families, what he referred to as "human infrastructure."
