World Health Organization Questions COVID Outbreak Timeline

The COVID-19 outbreak began in China earlier than originally thought.

That's according to investigators from the World Health Organization as they suspect there were more than a dozen strains in Wuhan in December of 2019.

They are now trying to examine hundreds of thousands of blood samples to test their theory.

They say, though, that officials in China are not cooperating and refuse to provide the samples.

This comes as there are at least seven new homegrown coronavirus variants in the U.S. A new study shows the variants all have the same mutation, making it easier for the virus to attach to a host cell and possibly making it more contagious.
