Walmart plans to donate $100 million over the next five years to address the nation's racial disparities.
The retail giant announced today the first 14.3 million dollars in grants will go to 16 different nonprofits.
The biggest grant of $5 million is going to the American Heart Association's Bernard J. Tyson Impact Fund. That money will focus on improving options for healthy food for people of color in Atlanta and Chicago.
The next biggest grant of $2.75 million dollars will go toward education programs to people of color on getting a COVID-19 vaccine.
