President Trump's former Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney has resigned from the position of special U.S. envoy to Northern Ireland following a group mob at the Capitol on Wednesday.
Mulvaney told CNBC that he had called Secretary of State Mike Pompeo of his decision, saying that Trump “not the same as he was eight months ago.”
While Mulvaney has made his decision, he believes others in the administration will likely stay due to being "worried the president might put someone worse in.”
