While getting vaccinated against the coronavirus isn’t mandatory in the U.S., that doesn’t mean some people won’t be forced to get their shots.
Dr. Anthony Fauci says it’s well within the rights of workplaces to require employees to present their vaccination record. Schools, which already require vaccinations for the flu and other illnesses, can do the same, he adds.
“I would imagine that some industrial entities, some schools and other entities might actually -- at the local level -- require that people get vaccinated before they can participate in whatever function of that institution is,” Fauci says.
