Police in Washington DC say they've taken the head of the far-right group the Proud Boys into custody on an outstanding warrant and possession of two high-capacity firearm magazines.
Miami-native Enrique Tarrio was arrested when he came into the city Monday. It is believed the 36-year-old is in DC for the pro-Trump demonstrations scheduled to protest the congressional certification of November's election results.
He was wanted on a destruction of property charge related to pro-Trump marches in December. Tarrio could serve to 180 days in jail and pay a thousand dollar fine.
