Wildfires Continue Rampage On West Coast: 10 Dead, 16 Missing in California

Oregon, September 10th, 2020

A wildfire in Northern California has become the state's deadliest blaze of the year with 10 people confirmed dead; another 16 missing.

The North Complex fire is one of 29 currently burning from the Oregon border to just north of Mexico.

Close to 5,000 square miles have burned so far this year - that's more land than Rhode Island, Delaware, and Washington, D.C. combined.

At last count, nearly 4,000 structures have burned across California.

In Oregon, more than 500,000 people (10% of the state's population) have been forced to evacuate.
