There could be a rumble in New York. State Governor Andrew Cuomo isn't pleased with President Trump's move to pull federal funding to cities he considers "lawless zones", like New York.
Cuomo was blunt in an emergency press conference Wednesday night, saying Trump "can't have enough bodyguards to walk through New York City. Forget bodyguards, he better have an army if he thinks he's going to walk down the streets... He is persona non grata in New York City." Governor Cuomo continued with "He'll never come back to New York because New Yorkers will never forget how graciously mean he has been."
The governor then switched to Twitter to say that Trump "let COVID ambush New York. He refuses to provide funds that states and cities MUST receive to recover."
Cuomo finished his tweet with "Trump is not a king. He cannot 'defund' NYC. It's an illegal stunt."
