Trump: U.S. Not Built To Be Shut Down

President Trump Sits Down with Fox News

President Trump claims the U.S. is "not built to be shut down."

During a virtual town hall on Fox News, Trump defended his comment that he doesn't want the coronavirus cure to be worse than the problem.

He said the U.S. loses thousands of people to the flu each year, but no one suggests turning the country off.

Trump also cited the numbers of people who die in car accidents every year.

Trump has suggested easing national guidelines on social distancing. He said the guidelines are being assessed and argued that a country can be destroyed by "closing it down."
