Remote-Controlled Car Used To Smuggle Meth Into US

A 16-year-old from California has been busted by the US Border Patrol for allegedly smuggling meth into the country by way of a remote-controlled car. Agents picked up the boy around 12:30 am Sunday after spotting him walking along the border wall near San Diego while holding two large duffel bags and the RC vehicle.

Inside were about 55 pounds worth of the drugs, which has an estimated street value of $106,096.

Authorities believe the car made multiple trips across the southern border, likely driven by someone inside Mexico. The teen will face federal drug smuggling charges.
