Jon Bon Jovi Says Booker's The Right Leader.
Celebrities often throw their support behind politicians, especially as primaries are general elections get closer. Rocker Jon Bon Jovi is no exception, writing in a fundraising email that fellow New Jersey native Cory Booker is the "right leader for this moment" to become the next U.S. president.
The email, in one last push to raise $1.7 million for Booker's campaign before September, also featured Bon Jovi writing that Booker could unify the country for a "renewed sense of shared purpose." If Booker doesn't raise the nearly $2 million by Monday, some believe he will end his campaign for Democratic presidential candidate.
