Barr: FBI Spied On Trump Campaign

Attorney General William Barr And Assistant A.G. For Administration Lee Lofthus Testify To Senate Committee

Attorney General William Barr says the FBI spied on the Trump presidential campaign in 2016 and he wants to ensure that investigators acted properly. In a Senate hearing today, Barr stressed that he's seen no evidence of illegal activity by the FBI but has some concerns that he wants to explore. Barr cited a failure among a group of leaders at the top of the FBI and said he has an obligation to make sure government power is not abused. New Hampshire Democrat Jeanne Shaheen said she hopes Barr applies the same standard to the President.
