Police in Chicago say they can't locate any images of the reported attack of "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett. The 36-year-old openly gay actor says he was leaving a Chicago restaurant around 2:00 a.m. yesterday when he claims two suspects began yelling racial and homophobic slurs. He claims they then punched him, poured a chemical substance over him and wrapped a rope around his neck.
Chicago Police say they have now found a video showing potential "people of interest." A Chicago Police communications officer confirmed the video and said they are hoping to question the men seen in the video. The video shows two people walking in the general area of where Smollett was at the time of the attack. It does not show the attack itself.
The only image of Smollett police have from security cameras was inside a Subway sandwich shop near the location of the reported crime where the actor was standing alone.
