Pelosi: No State Of Union Speech Tuesday Night, Despite Shutdown Ending

Pelosi

Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says there will be no State of the Union address on Tuesday night.  At the Capitol today, Pelosi talked about the short-term deal to end the partial government shutdown and said she and President Trump will talk about a "mutually agreeable date" for the State of the Union speech.  Pelosi quashed plans for the speech until the shutdown was resolved.  It was originally set for Tuesday night.  The short-term budget deal extends funding for affected areas of the government until mid-February.
