2020 will be the year the U.S. starts exporting more energy and importing.  A report released today by the Energy Department predicts the boom in oil and gas production will make the U.S. a net energy exporter for the first time in nearly 70 years.  According to the Annual Energy Outlook, increasing shipments of natural gas and petroleum byproducts will help boost America's role as a major gas exporter.  The report says U.S. oil production will continue to set new records before leveling off at about 14 million barrels a day in 2027.
