Broward County Elections Head Resigns After Botched Recount

Brenda Snipes

The supervisor of elections in Broward County, Florida is stepping down after criticism of how the recent recount there was handled .  Brenda Snipes' job performance was  questioned after her office lost over 2,000 ballots during a  machine recount last week.  Broward's machine recount numbers ended up  not even mattering because they were turned in two minutes after a deadline Thursday.  A hand recount in Florida's Senate race finished  Sunday, with Republican Rick Scott beating incumbent Democrat Bill  Nelson.
