Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is defending his testimony in a Senate hearing to address allegations of sexual assault. Writing in the Wall Street Journal, Kavanaugh noted that during last week's hearing he was more emotional than he's ever been. He admitted that he might have been too emotional at times and that he said a few things he shouldn't have. Kavanaugh explained that he was defending himself "as a son, husband and dad" and that his family was foremost in his mind during the hearing. He promised that if he's confirmed to the Supreme Court he will be an independent and open-minded justice.
