The FBI agent behind several anti-Trump texts is out of a job. Peter Strzok was fired by the bureau. Strzok's lawyer said FBI Deputy Director David L. Bowdich ordered the firing on Friday. The decision overruled an earlier FBI decision that Strzok should face a demotion and 60-day suspension. Strzok helped lead the special investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election until his anti-Trump tweets were discovered. He was also involved in the Hillary Clinton server investigation. Strzok exchanged his anti-Trump texts with his lover, another FBI employee, during the 2016 presidential campaign.
