Carr Fire Gains Another Three-Thousand Acres, Containment Stalls

An explosive northern California wildfire is still less than half contained.  Cal Fire says the more than two-week old Carr Fire burned another three-thousand-acres in Shasta County in the past 24 hours and containment remains at 47-percent.  Total structures destroyed has been adjusted downward slightly, from just over 16-hundred to just under, but about 280 more have been damaged.  The fire has killed seven people, including two firefighters and a PG&E lineman.
