How possible is it that a movement to purge Texas of Confederate symbols and monuments will result in changing the city's name?  Some say, quite.

A new report by Austin's Equity Office identifies Confederate monuments in the city, as well as streets and neighborhoods named after confederates and slave owners.

The report says Austin is named after Stephen F. Austin, who's considered the "father of Texas," and notes that Austin was against efforts to abolish slavery in the state.
