Rand Paul on Russian Election Meddling

Senator Rand Paul told CNN's State of the Union that he is not interested in holding the Russian Federation responsible for meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

He feels that instead of pushing to hold the Russian government responsible, lawmakers should work to secure the upcoming elections.

Paul said “we mistake our response if we think it's about accountability from the Russians. They’re another country; they're going to spy on us" and added, “we’re going to do the same."

What's your feeling on the Senator's comments, do you agree?
