Malaysian CEO Dies While Charging His Smartphone

Name something you do every day that could potentially kill you? If you said, "charge your cell phone," collect your fire extinguisher prize.

Nazrin Hassan, the CEO of Malaysia's Cradle Fund died when one of his two charging cell phones exploded, setting off a fire in his bedroom.

But it wasn't the fire that killed him. According to his family, the exploding parts hit Hassan on the back of the head, likely causing "blunt trauma".

Gadgets Now offers some tips on how to charge your phone safely, which includes using the original charger, only installing the manufacturer's replacement batteries, and not leaving the phone plugged in for long hours.
