Housing rights groups are expected to sue the Department of Housing and Urban Development today for dropping an Obama-era policy that promoted fair housing.
Secretary Ben Carson threw out the 2015 rule that required communities to overcome historic segregation patterns to get federal funds.
The groups contend that Carson violated the 1968 Fair Housing Act by distributing Hurricane Harvey relief without concern for discrimination.
Do you agree with the housing groups, did Carson violate the Fair Housing Act? How should HUD have handled Hurricane Harvey relief funding differently (if at all)?
