Truckers Unite to Keep a Man From Committing Suicide

In the wee hours of this morning, 13 truckers saved the life of a man who was going to kill himself.

A line of 13 trucks with assistance from Michigan State Police, created a wall on the I-696 freeway near the Coolidge exit to prevent a man from jumping off the overpass.

Police organized the truck "cushion" in the event the jumper decided to try and take his life. Eventually, he was talked off the edge of the overpass.

If you know somebody dealing with depression or at risk of taking their own life, people are available to help. Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.
