New York state’s attorney general has announced he will lead a multistate lawsuit to try to stop the federal government from asking people whether they are citizens in the 2020 Census.
Eric Schneiderman's statement did not say which states would join the lawsuit and when it would be filed.
Meanwhile, California took action early today by filing a lawsuit in federal court against the Commerce Department and the Census Bureau.
What other states do you expect will come out against this move by the Commerce Department? Do you actually see the question making it into the 2020 Census or will enough states come together to stop it? Should it be stopped?
