Stephen Willeford talks about stopping Texas gunman

Stephen Willeford is the man credited with firing the shots that chased off the gunman who took the lives of 26 people in a Texas church on Sunday.

He's now speaking out and wants people to remain focused on the victims.

Willeford told 40/29 News, an ABC station in Arkansas, “all I want to stress today is the people in that church, they’re friends of mine, they’re family.”

He said after grabbing his rifle he ran barefoot to the church when his daughter told him about the shooting.

During the interview Willeford went on to say “I’m no hero... I think my God, my Lord, protected me and gave me the skills to do what needed to be done and I just wish I could’ve gotten there faster.”

Would you have the courage to do what this man did in these circumstances?
