U.S. economy grew at a 3 percent rate in July-September quarter

With the help of strong business investment, the U.S. economy grew at an annual rate of 3 percent in the third quarter. This marks the first time in three years that growth has hit at least 3 percent in back-to-back quarters.

The economy grew 3.1 percent in the second quarter.

The Commerce Department says it was the strongest two-quarter showing since back-to-back gains of 4.6 percent and 5.2 percent in the second and third quarters of 2014.

Has the growth in the economy impacted your bottom line either through a better job or a raise?
