J.K. Rowling apologizes for tweets claiming Trump ignored disabled boy

Author J.K. Rowling provoked a barrage of criticism on social media and beyond after accusing Trump of ignoring a boy in a wheelchair.

Rowling put out the tweet after seeing a short, yet incomplete video of Donald Trump at the White House late last month.

Rowling tweeted: “How stunning, and how horrible, that Trump cannot bring himself to shake the hand of a small boy who only wanted to touch the President.”

J.K. Rowling has apologized to the family of a wheelchair-bound boy for her misleading tweets. In the tweets Rowling accused U.S. President Donald Trump of not shaking the hand of a wheelchair-bound child at a media event.
