Condoleezza Rice: Trump Believes in American Values, Tries to Act in Best I
Condoleezza Rice spoke out yesterday (June 28th) in defense of President Trump, saying in a CNBC interview that while the, quote, "language may be different," Trump believes in American values and tries to act in the best interest of the country. She also noted, "It's early days in this administration. Let's remember that."
Rice, who served as secretary of state and national security adviser under former President George W. Bush, said, "I believe every president of the United States stands for our values. You heard President Trump say, for instance, after the Syrian chemical attack, we can't let that stand. What he was saying was the president of the United States can't let that stand." She also said that Trump knows the importance of alliances and expects him to establish ties with democracies around the world.
