The Bernie Sanders love hasn't worn off since he lost the Democratic presidential primary to Hillary Clinton, with a new poll finding that the independent Vermont senator is the nation's most popular active politician. A Harvard-Harris survey for The Hill found that Sanders is viewed favorably by 57 percent of registered voters and negatively by 32 percent, and was the only politician among 16 congressional leaders or Trump administration officials asked about who was viewed favorably by a majority of those polled. At the other end of the survey, White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon was by far the least popular political figure, with only 16 percent viewing him favorably and 45 percent negatively. Among Republicans, the top-rated administration official was Vice President Mike Pence, with 44 percent viewing him favorably and 41 percent negatively. President Trump himself had a positive rating of 44 percent and a negative of 51 percent.
