Conway was in that position after taking a photo with her phone of President Trump with a group of leaders of black colleges and universities. Critics are saying that it's disrespectful of Conway to be kneeling on the couch in the Oval Office that way, particularly with her shoes on, while many others from both sides of the aisle are dismissing the outage as ridiculous. But some people also pointed out that this kind of thing is bipartisan, recalling the outrage from some on the right when then-President Barack Obama was photographed in the Oval Office with his feet on his desk.
