Things were a bit shaky in the first half. But thanks to a big second half, and big games from Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper, the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Portland Trailblazers 120-108 in Game 3 of their playoff series Friday night.
The Spurs, who played without Victor Wembanyama due to a concussion, now take a 2-1 lead in the series.
It was a tough start to the game, as the Sours trailed a majority of the first half and were behind 65-59 at halftime. But that is when Dylan Harper and Stephon Castle decided to put on a show.
Castle led the Spurs with a game-high 33 points, shooting 10-for-18 from the floor. Harper added another 27 points of his own, splashing home four three pointers, including a big three in the fourth quarter.
The Spurs outscored the Blazers 61-43 in the second half and shot 48-percent from three point range in the game. Luke Kornet and Carter Bryant came up big defensively, combining for five total blocks between them.
Harper also put an exclamation point on things with a vicious dunk.
The Blazers were led by Jrue Holiday, who scored 29 points, and Scoot Henderson, who added another 21 points. They shot 36-percent from three for the game.
The win puts the Spurs up 2-1 in the best-of-seven series. Game four is set for Sunday afternoon in Portland.
