All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914

Out of the violence comes a silence, then a song. Thus begins an extraordinary night of camaraderie, music, and peace. A remarkable true experience told in the words and songs of the men who lived it.

All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 runs November 24th-December 24th, 2017 in the Russell Hill Rogers Theater. For tickets and more information, visit the All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 page on The Playhouse News at theplayhousenews.org.

Project MEND is the community partner on All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914. Project MEND is a San Antonio based nonprofit that provides home medical equipment and assistive technology items to individuals living with disabilities and life-altering illness. For 25 years, we have been committed to improving the quality of life for persons living with disabilities and illness, and their caregivers, by providing refurbished and sanitized medical equipment to people in need, ensuring increased mobility and independence and acknowledging ABILITY in “disability.”

Through these two programs, Assistive Technology Reuse and Assistive Technology Financial Aid , we help individuals in need acquire the right piece(s) of equipment at the right time, allowing individuals to overcome or better manage a disability. For most, we are the last resource;without Project MEND, many people would go without their needed piece(s) of medical equipment.

Saturday, December 9th will be a special talk back night with Project MEND. A portion of ticket sales that evening will be contributed to Project MEND.
